Game Design

  • Move from Apprentice to Master Game Designer! This course helps you develop a wide range of creative skills, including conceptualizing game interactions, drafting storyboards, designing characters and applying sound and art images to computer games. Choose your favorite subject for the project topic—which is making a game of your own! And that’s not all. You’ll actually publish your game on your own website for everyone to play!

  • Recommended Prerequisites:
    Have prior knowledge in programming or successfully completed course on Visual Basic, Visual Basic.net or C++ programming language.

  • Some Sample Projects
    First Person Shooter – Use FPS Creator to develop a game environment with rooms, characters, weapons, and ammo.
    Summer Snowman – Use Multimedia Fusion 2.0 to create a game in the classic platform genre. Participants can use ready-made graphics or add some of their own.
    Your Original Game – plan and then build an original game. Participants apply what they have learned about genres and essential game elements to create an engaging game from scratch.
  • Length of training:
    Morning session: Monday to Thursday (9 am - 12 noon) for two weeks
    Afternoon session: Monday to Thursday (1 pm - 4 pm) for two weeks
